Nineteen People Arrested for Making Fake Certificates

Police in Yunnan Province, southwest China, arrested 19 people in connection with making and selling fake certificates, and confiscated more than 3,000 fake certificates and tools for making the "certificates."

The fake certificates include 53 varieties such as university diplomas, house property certificates, household registration books, professional certificates, driving licenses, marriage certificates and business licenses.

What astonished police was that there were also fake seals for local traffic police and public security departments, police said Sunday.

The 19 people, who were seized on January 11, belong to four different groups, police added.
