22 Foreign Currencies Convertible to RMB in Shanghai
Since the exchange service of Spanish peseta to the Renminbi, or Chinese yuan, has been made available in Shanghai by the Shanghai Branch of the Bank of China, foreign currencies convertible to the RMB in Shanghai amount to 22.
While China opens wider to the outside world and the Shanghai economy is more integrated with the world economy, cross-border travel and business are on the rise. Shanghai citizens possess more kinds of foreign money of larger value than ever before.
The Shanghai Branch of the Bank of China provided exchange services to enable overseas travelers and citizens to conveniently change their foreign money into RMB.
To date, 22 foreign currencies are convertible in Shanghai, including British Pound, Hong Kong Dollar, US Dollar, Swiss Franc, Deutsche Mark, French Franc, Singapore Dollar, Dutch Florin, Swedish Krona, Danish Krone, Norwegian Krone, Austrian Schilling, Belgian Franc, Italian Lira, Japanese Yen, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, Macao Dollar, Thai Baht, Philippine Peso, Finish Markka and Spanish Peseta.
