187 Tourist Areas Attain National 4A Title January 10 saw the curtain fall for the National 4A Appraisal of Tourist Areas held by the National Tourism Administration of China. The first batch of altogether 187 tourist areas and spots including Beijing Badaling Great Wall and the Yu Yuan Garden in Shanghai has been honored with the 4A mark. Over a year or so in the past, the national activity for creating 4A tourist areas has effectively helped upgrading the management levels and service qualities in the tourist areas of the country and promoted the protection of tourism resources and environmental construction.
