Yugoslavia Resumes Diplomatic Ties With Albania

The Yugoslav government decided on Thursday, January 11, to resume diplomatic relations with Albania.

The decision was made in keeping with Yugoslavia's principled orientation that all bilateral issues may be resolved through dialogue, said Yugoslavia's state news agency Tanjug, citing a statement issued by the government.

Yugoslav government cut off diplomatic relations with Albania on April 17, 1999, after it actively supported and participated in NATO aggression against Yugoslavia.
