International Relations School of Nanjing University Inaugurated
The School of International Relations of Nanjing University (NJUSIR) was unveiled on January 10.
Centered on studies of international relations, the school is designated as an education and research institute which buoys multi-disciplinary and inter-school studies on international relations, international politics, world history and regional issues. It also offers doctoral and master's degrees in international relations history and master's degree in international relations and international politics.
Over the past 30 years, Nanjing University has achieved remarkable and world-recognized achievements in the teaching and research work on the international affairs studies. In addition, the university has so far cultivated a faculty of talented specialists in foreign affairs and international relations and politics. Taking of such advantages, the NJUSIR will put equal weight on basic and pragmatic researches in the future, so as to make better contribution to the country.
Over 100 scholars, who turned up at the inauguration ceremony, also held a discussion in memory of the occasion about Sino-American relations, globalization, and situations in Russia and Central Asia.
