Angola Does Not Bomb Zambia: Minister
Zambia
n Defense Minister Chitalu Sampa Tuesday denied here local press reports that
Angola
n air force has bombed Zambian territory.
He said what the press described as bombing was actually motor shells exploding on the Angolan side of the border town of Jimbe in the early hours of Sunday.
Such reports would only create tension and hatred between the two countries, the minister said.
"At the moment, we are enjoying good relations with Angola and we do not expect that country to bomb Zambia. The chances of them bombing Zambia are remote," he stressed.
