He also expressed appreciation for Latin American Countries' pursuit of one-China policy. Li said that multipolarization and economic globalization are two major trends in the world. China upholds that the world should move towards multipolarity and that the interests of developing countries be guaranteed. China will strive to adapt to economic globalization and has made great efforts toward its entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO). Abdala said China has great influence in world affairs and Uruguay stresses the importance of building a long-term and stable friendship with China. He reaffirmed that Uruguay firmly sticks to the one-China policy. He also said that Uruguay supports China's efforts to enter the WTO and wishes for an early entry.
