Criminal Activities of Falun Gong Condemned

Our Daily publishes a commentary Monday, January 8, to condemn the notorious cult of Falun Gong, headed by Li Hongzhi, for its evil political will.

The recent criminal activities of Falun Gong followers have, once again, exposed the anti-humanity, anti-society and anti-science nature of the cult, the paper says.

The commentary retorted the cult leader's claim that he would not participate in politics, would not oppose the government, and would not depend on any political force.

A series notorious activities by Li fully indicate that the cult leader has fallen into the arms of overseas anti-China forces, the commentary concludes.

The commentary makes the point that from the very beginning, the cult leader has cherished a strong political ambition by fabricating a set of fraudulent tactics to use against the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the ideology of socialism.

Time and again, the cult leader has organized his followers to siege the offices of the CPC, government and media, which belie Li's claim that he "would not participate in politics and oppose the government", according to the paper.

Facts show that the cult, which has been banned in China, is being backed by anti-China forces from the West, it says.

However, the commentary says, anti-China forces in the West, in collaboration with the cult, are doomed to fail in their attempts against China.

China's campaign against Falun Gong is a keen-edged political struggle, the paper stresses.
