Boca's Palermo Questioned over Nightclub Assault
Boca Junior forward and Argentine soccer international Martin Palermo was questioned by
Uruguay
an judge on Saturday over allegations he assaulted a photographer at a nightclub.
The photographer said Palermo and one of his entourage punched him after he took a picture of the player and his girlfriend at a club in the luxurious holiday resort of Punta del Este in the early hours of Saturday morning, but police refused to give details.
A police spokeswoman said the soccer player had not been formally arrested or charged.
In last November's world club cup final in Tokyo Palermo scored both goals in Boca's 2-1 win over Real Madrid.
