The price for liquefied gas for civil use has been increased from 1,960 yuan (US$236) to 2400 yuan (US$289) per ton.

The price for natural gas for civil use has been increased from 1.4 yuan to 1.7 yuan per cubic meter.

The price for natural gas used by hotels, embassies, consulates and apartment buildings for diplomats is set at 2.2 yuan per cubic meter.

The prices for coal gas and coal for civil use have remained unchanged.

This adjusting of prices is to further streamline the price system and promote the infrastructural construction in Beijing, said officials from the Beijing Municipal Government.
