Targets for Civil Affairs Work Set for This Year
Chinese Minister of Civil Affairs Doje Cering said in
Shanghai
January 5 that China will continue to promote community construction and autonomy of villagers in the new year.
Other major points for civil affairs work this year include improving care for the elderly and expanding the coverage of basic livelihood guarantee for the needy, said the minister when addressing a national conference attended by directors of civil affairs bureaus across the country.
This year will also see the completion of border demarcation and circulation of more welfare lotteries, he said.
