Jinmen People Favor Shenzhouxing Prepaid SIM CardOn the morning of January 2, one gentleman from Jinmen (Kinmen) Island bought one Shenzhouxing (Literally, Across China) prepaid SIM card as soon as he arrived in Xiamen in east China's Fujian Province on board delegated by Jinmen County magistrate Chen Shui-tsai.Quoted by the Xiamen Evening News, the gentleman, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that he would stay in Xiamen for four days and meet many relatives and friends, so a cell phone was quite necessary. The card can save him a lot of money for he needn't pay the monthly rent charge and the expensive charge for international call. Besides, it can also be kept for later use, as he will travel frequently between Xiamen and Jinmen in the future. He also told reporters that making a phone call to Xiamen from Jinmen's coastal area facing Xiamen, the cell phone with Shenzhouxing card will show the signal of "China Mobile" and the calls will be charged in the standard of local calls. According to the Marketing Director of the Xiamen Mobile Company of China, a primary statistics shows that about 200 Jinmen people have bought this kind of card since last month.
