New Chinese Edition of People's Daily Online Launched

  People's Daily

People's Daily brings you the latest news dispatches of policy information and resolutions of the Chinese Government and major domestic news and international news releases from China. Published under the People's Daily are also eleven newspaper and six magazine subsidiaries.
A new Chinese edition of the People's Daily Online (http://www.people.com.cn) was launched on the morning of January 5, which witnesses the third large-scale reconstruction of the website since its establishment in 1997. The People's Daily Online distinguishes itself as the most authoritative and influential comprehensive internet media in China. Besides releasing the People's Daily's news in electronic forms, it also independently provides news and information services under its 13 news channels and six subsidiary feature sites.

The 13 news channels include Politics, World, Opinion, Business, Science & Education, Society, IT, Environment, Military, Entertainment, Sports, Life and Photos. The six feature sites are:

    In addition, a news center is also set up along with the channels to provide updated news stories, in-depth report and news analysis.
