China, Japan Team Up for Environment-friendly Motorcycle
Last December 28 saw Hainan Sundiro Motorcycle Co., Ltd.��Honda Co. Ltd. Japan, and Tianjin Motorcycle Co. Ltd. the three companies have their assets regrouped and co-funded a new company --- the New Sundiro-Honda Motorcycle Co Ltd to produce environment-friendly motorbikes.
With Tianjin Honda Motorcycle as its parent, the new company has a registered capital totaling US $99.565 million with the Chinese and Japanese sides to share the equities, of which 50 percent is held by Honda, 47.33 percent by Hainan Sundiro Motorcycle and 2.67 percent by Tianjin Motorcycle.
Headquartered in Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, the company will also establish subsidiaries in Hainan, Shanghai and Tianjin, sales branches as well as R&D centers.
Taking the advantages of Honda in the fields of manufacture and technological research and development, and the sales experience and network of Hainan Sundiro Motorcycle, and their brand names in the world as well, the trans-national and trans-regional cooperation will strive to develop and produce environment-friendly motorcycles of low emission and high-tech added value.
