Supercomputer Unveiled in Shanghai
A high-performance computing system called Ziqiang 2000 was developed by the laboratory in
Shanghai
University, according to newspaper reports,today's chinadaily.com.cn reports.
The computer can perform up to 450 billion calculations per second. It can be used in such fields as applied science analysis, genetic studies and simulation programs. It is the fastest number-crunching computer system in China, said Shanghai newspaper Monday.
