Traditional Chinese Music to Entertain Austrian Audience

Traditional Chinese music will be performed at the Vienna Golden Hall following a successful presentation during the Chinese lunar new year festival of 2000.

The China Radio Nationalities Orchestra, headed by famous conductor Peng Jiapeng, left Beijing for Vienna Thursday afternoon with a well-prepared repertoire including both Chinese music and western pieces mixed with Chinese characteristics. Also bound for Vienna Thursday was a group of over 400 music fans.

China's leading television station, CCTV, will provide full coverage of the concert scheduled on January 7, and more than 100 countries will have access to the performance via a live broadcast.
