Chinese Courts Handled Delayed Cases

China's Supreme People's Court announced Wednesday, January 3, that in the first 11 months of last year,local courts handled almost all delayed cases, including 119,500 cases awaiting judgment and 451,900 sentences to be executed.

The announcement was made at a national conference attended by presidents of higher people's courts across the country.

In the same period, the courts handled a total of 4.91 million cases of various kinds in the first rulings and concluded 4.5 million cases.

Last year, the supreme court published 48 judicial explanations of various kinds in an attempt to ensure the correct adoption of laws.
