300 Recreational Centers Closed for Poor Anti-fire Facilities

Southwest China's Sichuan Province recently shut down 220 recreational centers on a temporary basis and revoked 95 others' business license for their poor anti-fire facilities.

The 220 recreational centers are urged to stop business so the problems can be rectified, sources said.

Sources with the provincial fire department said the province launched a large fire safety inspection in 2,644 local work units following a recent fire at a disco in Luoyang, central China's Henan Province, which claimed 309 lives.
