MOFTEC to Hold Hearing on Anti-Dumping Case

China's foreign trade ministry will hold a hearing on January 18 regarding the anti-dumping investigation on imported acrylate from Japan, Germany and the US.

The hearing is planned in accordance with China's anti-dumping regulations and in response to the requests of the BASF Group and other parties involved.

Sources from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) said that any party involved in this case can apply to attend the hearing before next Friday.

The ministry announced in December 1999 that it began an anti-dumping investigation into imported acrylate from these three countries. The final ruling on the case will be available by June 9 this year.

Acrylate is a raw material used to make plastic models, optical parts, jewelry, adhesives, paint, and textile fibers.
