2nd Selection for Chinese Football Dragon Team Launched
The second "Chinese Football Dragon Team Selection", called "Power-Dekor Cup" (PD Cup) has been kicked off. It is the only annual football selection hosted and officially recognized by CFA (China Football Association).
Zhang Jilong, vice-chairman of CFA expressed his wishes that the annual selection would help boost the growth and progress of football in China. This year some seven awards will be given to the best men's and women's team, the best male and female players, the best male and female coaches and the one made special contribution.
As reported, the whole selection of the PD Cup will fall into two phases: voted by experts and masses of people respectively. Expert approbation committee will be formed of members from the Standing Committee of CFA News Conference, head-coaches from the 26 men's soccer teams in division A, eight women's super-soccer teams and national men's and women's soccer teams. They are going to vote for the candidates of the annual selection, and the name-list will finally be made known to the public. Tally clerk will sort out the final winners under the supervision of notary public.
Sponsored by CFA and Power Dekor Floor Company, and carried out by News Conference Committee of CFA and Beijing Great Gate Sports Center, this selection is believed to be an impartial, authoritative and universal one, being the highest glory in Chinese football cause, according to the sponsors.
