Yugoslav President Delivers New Year Message
Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica called on his people Sunday to face and eventually solve all the problems in the country as well as to realize national reconciliation in the new year.
In his New Year Message delivered through a Serbian television, Kostunica said that he believed the relations between the two entities of the federation -- the Serbian republic and Montenegrin republic, will for sure be settled in accordance with the constitutional process with the precondition of farthest respecting people's wish.
Meanwhile, Yugoslavia will overcome the economic difficulties that it faces due to NATO bombings in 1999 and the following sanctions against the Balkan country, the president added.
Kostunica also expressed his hope that the Yugoslav people will surely triumph over all the hard times and make great achievements in both domestic and diplomatic fields in the new year.
