Indian President Greets Nation on New Year
India
n President K. R. Narayanan Sunday greeted the nation on the occasion of New Year.
In a message, the president said, "As the New Year dawns, let us pledge to unite our endeavors for the all-round progress of the motherland and work for peace and goodwill among all people."
He also conveyed the best wishes and warm greetings to all fellow citizens on the occasion.
