Chinese Shuttler Gong Wins Copenhagen Masters

Olympic champion Gong Zhichao of China fought from behind to beat local hero Camilla Martin on Friday night for the women's singles title of the Copenhagen Masters.

Gong pulled off a 4-7, 7-4, 7-4, 8-7 victory over Martin in a re-match of Sydney Olympics where Gong walked away with China's first ever women's singles badminton title.

But Gong admitted that though Martin lost the final here, she had a better form.

"I just committed fewer mistakes than her,"said Gong.

The men's singles title went to Dane Peter Gade who defeat his compatriot Anders Boesen 7-4, 7-0, 7-5. Eng Hian/Flandy Limpele beat Tony Gunawan/Halim Haryanto in an all-indonesian final of men's doubles.
