Guangzhou Customs Smashes Major Auto Smuggling Rings

Customs in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province announced that customs officers recently smashed two major automobile smuggling rings and seized six smuggled cars and abundant automobile parts worth 10 million yuan.

A customs officer said that the eight suspects have been arrested by local anti-smuggling officers.

The officer said that customs has discovered 120 car smuggling cases this year, seizing 240 cars valued at 62 million yuan.

Meanwhile, some 120 suspects involved in the cases have been arrested, he said.
