Vietnamese President Hails Successful Visit to China
President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Duc Luong said that his just-concluded visit to China was very successful.
Luong made the remarks to Xinhua when he arrived at Hanoi's Noi Bai international airport this afternoon. He said that he and his entourage are very delighted on the visit.
The Vietnamese President expressed his confidence that the relationship between the two countries will be very fine in the new century.
Director of Press and Information Department of Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Phan Thuy Thanh, who is also one of Luong's entourage to China, said Vietnamese President's official goodwill visit to China reached great success by signing a number of important agreements.
Thanh, also Vietnamese spokeswoman, said that after visiting Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen, we noticed the great achievements in China's economic development, which indicates that China's reforms and opening-up is very successful.
Vietnam is glad to see China's great achievements and share the good experiences in cooperation and development to fraternal Chinese people, Thanh added.
Vietnamese President Tran Duc Luong made the five-day official goodwill visit to China from December 25 to 29 at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin.
