Chinese Premier Greets Romania's New Prime Minister
Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji on Friday, December 29, greeted Romanian Prime Minister Adrian Nastase on the occasion of the latter's assumption of office.
In a message of congratulation to Nastase, the Chinese premier, on behalf of the Chinese government and in his own name, extended "heartfelt congratulations and best wishes" to the new Romanian prime minister.
The Sino-Romanian traditional friendly cooperative relations built on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit have long been consolidated and developed, he said.
"I am willing to work together with your excellency for the betterment of the Sino-Romanian relations in the new century," he said.
The new Romanian government of Prime Minister Adrian Nastase was formally sworn in on Thursday.
