Shanghai Internet Economy Consultation Center Inaugurated

Shanghai Internet Economy Consultation Center was established December 24. Chen Liangyu, vice mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, and Lu Xinkui, vice minister of the Ministry of Information Industry, unveiled the inauguration ceremony.

As has been designed for the founding of the Center, Chen said Shanghai Internet Economy Consultation Center has its purpose to make a perspective strategic study into the area of Internet-related socioeconomic development, exploit ways to further cooperation and exchange with abroad,, provide technological and information consultation services, and familiarize policy makers with Games Rules and help them keep up with economic advances on net.

The Consultation Center has its main tasks as follows:

1. Providing government authorities with analyses and advice on developing IT;

2. Helping enterprises in efforts for informationalization transformation;

3. Regularly issuing target-system indexes of city informationalization;

4. Organizing training;

5. Coordinating managerial efforts to look after Shanghai IT Open Lab and Shanghai

Broadband Information Exchange Center;

6. Developing international cooperation and exchanges;

7. Publishing latest study results of informantionalization.
