Chaoyang District Get Mobilized for Green Olympics Bidding

Beijing's Chaoyang District held a meeting December 25, mobilizing the people into action for a Green Olympics Bidding project named "Green Community and Green Chaoyang".

Chaoyang district is a crucial place for Beijing's Olympics Bidding as the main venues are located there if Beijing wins.

As decided by the local government, the Green Olympics Project has been started since last November. 13 streets and nine towns have so far participated in the Green campaign. The coverage of green commnunity in the district is expected to reach 50 percent by the end of March 2001.
