NPC to Hold 4th Session on March 5
The 9th National People's Congress (NPC) will convene its 4th session on March 5 next year, according to a decision passed by the 19th meeting of the NPC Standing Committee, which concluded in Beijing December 28.
The session is expected to cover a number of important issues, such as reviewing the report by the State Council on the Tenth Five-Year Plan and the plan itself, reviewing the report on the implementation of the economic and social development plan of the year 2000, and reviewing the work report presented by the NPC Standing Committee.
The meeting will also examine the draft amendments to the Chinese-Foreign Equity Joint Ventures.
