CCB Launches Corporate On-Line Banking Services

The China Construction Bank (CCB) announced Thursday, December 28, that it's on-line banking system specially for corporate clients was officially launched.

President of the CCB Wang Xuebing said that the new system is based on its nationwide urban business network, integrating many high-technology information and network technologies to provide corporate clients with consultation, capital transference, on-line payments and other services.

To ensure the safety of on-line trading, the CCB has introduced state-of-the-art security equipment to establish the country's most reliable security system, Wang said.

Wang said that the bank's on-line banking business has been expanded from Beijing and Guangzhou to 18 other provinces and municipalities since the new business was initiated in August 1999.

The corporate on-line banking system will first be practiced in Sichuan and Hunan provinces and Chongqing, Shenzhen, and Qingdao cities before being expanded to all 18 provinces and major cities in the country.
