China to Promulgate First Contract Regulations for Employment

China is going to issue its first Contract Regulations for Employment to specify stipulations on the refusal to offering subsidies, raising wages and providing insurance for temporarily-hired hands by the employers and to standardize labor contract text, according to sources from the seminar on "Labor Relationship Issues" held in Shenzhen.

The meeting highlighted some problems occurred in the current employ-employed relationship, such as: no legal contracts in those privately-owned or individually-run companies, or contracts just for formality. The to-be-announced Regulations will give guidance to contract signing and standardize contract documents.
