Eighty-One Policemen Sacked in East China Province

In East China's Zhejiang Province 81 unqualified policemen were recently fired in a move to reorganize local police forces in the province.

The news was released at an on-going session of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress.

During the past four months, the provincial security department of Zhejiang handled 179 cases involving the illegal or immoral enforcement of law, bringing 34 policemen under criminal suit.

In addition, the province has also suspended more than 1,000 policemen with incompetent behavior from their posts to undertake two-months of professional training.
