Beijing 2008 at South Pole
China's Great Wall station at the south pole held a special activity calling for international support for Beijing's Olympic bid on the 16th anniversary of Uruguay's station Sunday.
Staff members from China's Great Wall station attended the anniversary reception with a banner printed with Beijing's bid logo. For them, it is a good occasion to promote Beijing's bid for the 2008 Olympic Games while heads of the stations in Georgia Island gathered together for the celebration.
Along with the head of Great Wall station, Wang Jianguo, there were seven stations from Uruguay, Chile, Republic of Korea, Russia, Argentina, Poland and Brazil that all signed the banner.
