East China Province Expecting Fast Expansion of Hi-tech Industries

Jiangsu
Province is expecting a fast expansion of its high-tech industries, with 17 percent of the total industrial output value added this year coming from this area.
This year, Jiangsu has initiated nearly 60 state-level high-tech projects with an overall investment of approximately 3.4 billion yuan (US$400 million).
Meanwhile, another 40 large high-tech projects on the priority list of this province have been ratified, 4 to 5 of which are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
