Taliban Release 190 Political Prisoners
Afghanistan
's Taliban militia have announced the release of 190 political prisoners before Eid-ul-Fitr, the Muslim holy festival.
Taliban's supreme leader Mulla Muhammad Omar Tuesday said that the prisoners were released on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, which is falling on Wednesday, according to news reaching here.
The released prisoners also included those arrested during Taliban's offensive against the opposition to capture the strategic city of Taloqan in northern Afghanistan in September.
