Sundry Auto Contests Scheduled Coming Year

Chen Xuezhong, vice secretary of the Federation of Automobile Sports of PRC (FASC), told the arrangement of China's automobile races in 2001 at the annual meeting of FASC held in Beijing on December 25.

According to the arrangement, China Automobile Rally will be held March-October, 2001 in the four cities Shanghai, Kunming (Yunnan Province), Changchun (Jinli Province) and Shaoguan (Guangdong Province), of which the last two cities will also be logs of Asian Automobile and Asian-Pacific Automobile Rallies respectively. The China Open, also China International Open and Asian Tournament, will be held June-October, 2001 in Dalian (Liaoning Province), Tangshan (Hebei Province), Huangshan (Aihui Province) and Dongyuan (Guangdong Province) respectively. And China Short-track Automobile Rally will be held April-October, 2001 in Xi'an (Shaanxi Province), Zhengzhou (Henan Province), Shaoguan (Guangdong Province) and Beijing respectively.

In addition, the first National Ice-snow Automobile Rally (Changchun), China Mudanjiang Ice-snow Short-track Automobile Rally, World Roof Automobile Challenge (Beijing-Lhasa), and West Development Automobile Rally (Beijing-Urumchi), will also be held coming year to vary and enrich China's automobile sports.
