Domain Name Disputes Resolving Center Inaugurated

If your Chinese domain name has been maliciously registered, now you can turn to Chinese Domain Name Disputes Resolving Center for help, the first of its kind under China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC)).

From January 1, 2001 on, the Resolving Center will formally begin to handle disputes over registration of Chinese domain names. When a trademark owner finds any infringement on his trademark he is entitled to lay a charge at the center that will make verdicts to protect the owner's proper rights.

On November 1, 2000, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) issued Ways for Resolving Disputes Over Registration of Chinese Domain Names (trial version) and authorized CIETAC on its behalf to handle relevant cases of disputes found.

Convenient and fast alternate ways have also been worked out by the center to regulate domain name registration and cut disputes therefrom.
