2 Killed, 26 Injured in Kashmir Bomb Blast
At least two persons were killed and 26 others injured in a powerful bomb explosion triggered Monday by militants outside the army headquarters in Srinagar, Kashmir, official sources said.
The blast took place at the main gate of the headquarters of 15th corps around 2 PM at Batwara on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, they said.
The blast also caused a fire in a nearby shopping complex.
The sources said it was not immediately known whether the incident was a suicide bomb attack or the blast was carried out by militants by detonating a parked explosive-laden car.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
