Heavy Fog Slows down Pace of Wuhan City

Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province, was enveloped by heavy fog Friday morning, making it the sixth foggy day in the past ten days.

The visibility of the area along the Yangtze River is around 50 meters. After 11 am this morning, the fog began to disperse.

Heavy fog has caused traffic problems. All the 49 flights of Wuhan Tianhe Airport were delayed in the morning. The first Wuhan-Hongkong flight took off at 11:35 am.

According to the provincial highway administration, the heavy fog also caused a traffic accident involving more than 8 vehicles on the Yichang-Wuhan expressway, with no casualties.

Experts predict that heavy fog will reappear in the next three days.
