Symphony Concert to Welcome New Century
China Radio Nationalities Orchestra presented a symphony concert on nationalities to welcome the coming century in Beijing Friday, December 22.

The concert presented selected domestic and foreign music pieces including "Spring River of Flowers in a Moonlit Night", " Moon Night", "Folk Dance of the Yao People", "Good News", and " Blue Danube", all of which expressed the Chinese people's joy towards the remarkable progress achieved in China since the implementation of "opening up to the outside world".

Peng Jiapeng was the concert conductor. Ding Guangen, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the concert.

The concert was co-held by China Central Television (CCTV) and China Radio Nationalities Orchestra, and undertaken by Air China.
