Ethiopia, Eritrea to Exchange POWs: OfficialEthiopia said Thursday, December 21, that 110 Eritrean prisons of war (POWs) would released and sent to their country Friday.Also on the same day, 80 Ethiopian POWs would arrive in Addis Ababa from Eritrea, an official of the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry told local media. Following the exchange of the first batch of POWs, more than 200 Eritrean POWs would be released next Saturday, the official said, adding the release of the Eritrean POWs would be carried out on voluntary basis.
