Nanning Invests Heavily in Urban Road Construction

Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, has launched a project to improve its urban traffic facilities.

The city will invest 3.097 billion yuan to build an urban express ring road, totaling 40.5 kilometers in length. Another 215 million yuan will be used in building the Funing Road, 3.36 kilometers long.

The express ring road consists of a series of roads in Nanning proper. Part of the project was started in 1994.

Construction of Funing road, which connects the ring road with the expressway leading to the Nanning Airport, started on September 28 this year.

China Development Bank approved a 1.2 billion yuan to build the two roads.
