China's Guangxi Reports 1 Million Overseas Tourists

Southwest China's Guangxi Autonomous Region had received 1.14 million overseas tourists from January to November of this year, according to the latest statistics.

This was the first time for the region to receive over 1 million tourists from overseas, the region's tourism administration said.

The figure is 61.2 percent more than that of the same period last year, the administration said.

Guangxi has long been famous for its natural beauty. The picturesque mountains and rivers near Guilin, one of Guangxi's major cities, have attracted not only millions of tourists from all over the world, but also a large number of important international figures like U.S. President Bill Clinton.

According to the local tourism administration, in order to continue to promote tourism, the region has set up a special development and set up a series of market cleaning efforts to better serve the tourists.
