Minsheng Insurance Company to be Set up

The president of China Minsheng Bank (600016 SSE) Jing Shuping said that, with the approval from China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), Minsheng Insurance Company will be set up.

He revealed the information Tuesday in Shanghai when attending the ceremony for the listing of the shares of Minsheng Bank.

He said the Minsheng Insurance Company might be a joint venture, as CIRC hopes the insurance companies approved to be set up to seek more cooperation with foreign-funded insurance institutions. (Panorama)
