CAAC Deals with Illegal Tickets Sales

An official from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC)'s East-China office has claimed the authorities has foiled an illegal operation of selling tickets of domestic airlines.

Shanghai police, in a recent crackdown, found out eight agency companies colluded to sell customers fake air tickets. The eight agencies are now in 9 million yuan in arrears to two Chinese airliners.

All together, the case involves more than 10 million yuan, which becomes the largest ticket fraud recorded in Shanghai municipality, the China News Service reported.

A tip from local citizens helped the Shanghai public security department launch a thorough check on the Hengda trade business office in downtown Shanghai. They confiscated a bunch of coupons for home and abroad tickets, returned fake tickets and their account books.

The above eight agencies have received administrative punishments according to related regulations.
