Sound Book for the Blind Hits 200 Thousand Discs in China

News from the ongoing conference on the development of National Publication for the Blind shows that sound books for the blind have come to a number of 200 thousand copies.

China's Braille Press is the unique publishing house for the blind in China. Over the past 50 years, some 7000 categories or 10 million copies of books and periodicals have been published, that have by and large catered to the needs of the blind readers across the country.

The theme topic of this conference is, as learned, focused on demonstrating the achievements in national braille publication, exchanging experiences with foreign counterparts, discussing and resolving the problems in present braille publications and education so as to boost the cause of education for the blind in China.
