Light Cross-country Vehicle Debuts

Changfeng (Group) Co. Ltd. recently declared in Beijing that it has successfully developed three types of "cheetah" light cross-country cars and has begun to put them into batch production.

They have become China's first batch of such vehicles meeting the exhaust emission standard of Europe No.2 9969EC. The success marks a new stage in China's cross-country vehicle production and development.

The three types of new products include the CJY6470E environmental protection "cheetah" vehicle developed on the basis of the idea of "protecting the environment and cherishing nature"; the CFA2030 (V6-3000) series power "cheetah" cars; currently the highest grade of such cars in China; and the CFA6470G economical "cheetah" cars affordable for urban and rural residents. Compared with the previous cross-country cars, the new generation "cheetah" type has a high technological content and the rate of its domestic production is close to 70 percent.

Changfeng Group currently can produce 30,000 complete cars annually. In recent years, the enterprise has invested hundreds of millions of yuan in technological renovation and set up five world-advanced production lines for punching, welding, spraying, general assembly and inspecting, thereby providing a sure guarantee for enterprises' incessant development of new products.
