Winners of Taiwan Quiz Contest Announced

"Taiwan in My Heart", a mass activity in the form of quiz contest co-sponsored by the Publicity Dept of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and China Youth Daily, has announced its winners at a ceremony lately held in Beijing.

Originally set from September 6 to November 15, the contest had evoked so much wide response in China at large that it had to be put off nearly a month later amidst a hail of phone calls and letters from warmhearted readers to voice their concern and support.

Altogether 700,000-odd answering sheets, 287,267 valid and 117,419 entirely correct, had got back nationwide. As were made known on China Youth Daily, a total of 10 awards for organizations and 265 for individuals were announced.
