Croatia, Bosnia Sign Trade and Economic Agreement
Croatia and Bosnia signed an agreement Tuesday, December 19, on expanding free trade, Croatian radio reported.
On behalf of their governments, Ivica Racan, prime minister of Croatia, and Martin Raguz, chairman of Bosnia's Council of Ministers, signed the agreement, which becomes effective on January 1, 2001.
Both sides are satisfied with talks held before the signing ceremony, Croatian radio reported, adding that the two leaders said the document is "the most important" one between the two governments in two years.
"It will not only enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, but also promote bilateral relations between them," the radio quoted the leaders as saying.
Trade volume between Croatia and Bosnia has been reportedly declining in the past two years.
