China Makes Anti-Dumping Investigation of Methylene Chloride Imports

China's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) issued a notice Wednesday morning, announcing the formal anti-dumping investigation of methylene chloride imports from Britain, the United States, the Netherlands, France, Germany and the Republic of Korea (ROK).

According to China's anti-dumping and anti-subsidy articles, on Wednesday MOFTEC will, together with China's General Administration of Customs, make an investigation of methylene chloride imports from the above-mentioned countries in terms of dumping and its extent, the notice said.

In addition, China's State Economic and Trade Commission will, along with relevant departments of the State Council, find out how much damage has been done by such commodities to domestic industries.

The investigation will end within a year. Under some specific circumstances, it may renew in six months.
